Multi-Wall and Solid Polycarbonate Sheets
۱-Storage:
Polycarbonate sheets should be protected against atmospheric factors such as the sun, rain. The length sheets should be kept horizontally together, or if they are different in length, the sheets will be taller below, to prevent sheet deformation, the sheet They should be placed on a suitable support (beam), the sheets should not be placed where there is a possibility for human or machine to pass through them.
۲-cleaning:
Cleaning at specified intervals and according to the correct instructions will prolong the life of the sheet. It is recommended to clean the sheets using hexane and heptane solvents and after cleaning the sheet, rinse the sheet with water to remove any trace of solvents. Do not leave the sheet.
A. For small surfaces:
۱- Wash the sheet with lukewarm water.
Wash 2 sheets with lukewarm water and any household detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean it.
Rinse 3 sheets with cold water and dry with soft cloth.
B. For large surfaces:
۱- Clean the surface with high pressure water.
۲- Only use a polycarbonate-compatible detergent.
۳٫ Do not use brush or any scratch or abrasive material.
Important Notes: Never use corrosive solvents or alkaline materials. General detergents and detergents may not be compatible with UV resistant coatings, such as never use Buyl Cellosolve or Isopropanol-based detergents. UV sheet of polycarbonate.
Note: If the polycarbonate sheets are used for installation in ceilings, they should not be moved on during cleaning or installation. A wooden raft or other suitable mounting bracket should be used for this purpose.
Acrylic Sheets (PMMA):
۱- Storage:
Packed plastic sheets should not be placed outside and in high temperature and atmospheric conditions. During storage, under conditions and temperature and humidity variations, the flat sheet bends, even when it is flattened and clinging.
Polyethylene film protects the sheet against contamination and scratches. It is better to separate PE protective film in the final process. The film is not intended to be exposed to open air for a long time, but only slightly resistant to UV and heat. It is therefore recommended that the protective film be removed immediately after the installation or the last process. Depending on storage and atmospheric conditions, the plastic sheet absorbs moisture.
۲-cleaning
The isolation of the protective film induces the electrostatic load on the surface of the sheet. This electrostatic charge absorbs air dust and fine particles. Normal water is enough to clean and protect the sheets.
Clean the extra dust with warm water, rinse aid and cleaner. Dry sheets with soft cloth or soft leather. Dry surface cleaning results in scratches and damage to the sheets.
Extremely oily and greasy surfaces should be cleaned with cleaners or weak solvents. Other suitable materials for cleaning acrylic sheets of PMMA include:
۱- Diluted acids such as citric acid, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid
۲٫ Diluent caustic soda or potassium sulfate solution
۳٫ Regular vinegar
۴٫ Alcohol white, natural soap and household cleaners.
If these sheets are suitable or vertically mounted, there is no need to clean the outer surface of the sheets. The contaminants are cleaned by themselves with rain and cleaned with water hose if they are not cleaned. The acrylic PMMA surface is evenly dirty and does not stick to it. Dust with a soft cloth or sponge with water help. And the toilet fluid is removed.
Larger and smaller pieces of structures are cleaned mechanically, although these methods are not recommended for acrylic PMMA plates, even if plenty of water is used, scratching is possible on the sheets.
ABS sheets:
Care should be taken in the storage of sheets so that the sheets do not lie in the airway, in front of the window or window, as the air flow will transmit moisture to the sheets.
The storage temperature of the sheets should not be less than 20 degrees Celsius, otherwise the sheets should be preheated before the vacuum, so that the moisture content is taken. The optimum time to keep the sheets in the summer is maximum 20 days and in the fall and winter maximum 15 days.
Due to the presence of moisture in the hall area, even the minimum amount of sheet used for each vacuum should be transferred to the salon, and the rest should be kept in the hall until it is protected from moisture above the vacuum room.
In situations of rain and winter, when air humidity reaches over 75 degrees, try to keep the sheets more spaced so that air humidity does not flow between the layers of the sheets.
Do not expose the consumed sheets to water spray. Because the water is mixed with the gases in the air, it creates orange roots during the vacuum.
Polymer sheets should not be exposed to vapors from other chemicals, especially phosphate baths, to remove fat from metal sheets or casting because of the molecular degradation of polymers.
Due to the effect of different solvents on the ABS sheet, it is necessary to carefully consider the use of suitable solvent for removing the surface of the sheets. For example, solvents such as benzine, thinner, toluene, xylene and acetone should never be used to clean sheets. In this regard, solvents such as water, alcohol and ammonia are recommended.
